Repton is the cradle of Christianity in the Midlands. Christians have worshipped on this site since 653 AD, when Elfleda, the bride of Peada, son of King Penda of Mercia, introduced Christianity to his father's kingdom at Repton. Our founding Worshipful Master – George Muggliston – is buried here and our brethren annually lay a wreath at his grave. We have donated a sum of money to assist with grounds maintenance as the church has lost grants due to cutbacks.
The Royal Sussex Lodge No 353 are keen to assist the local community with small grants. Any charity or worthy cause will be considered.
